Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") binds every user of the Water Hawk service ("Service"). It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. A material breach of this AUP is grounds for immediate suspension or termination, retention of fees paid (all sales final), and any other remedy at law or in equity.
Account discipline
- One natural person, one account. No credential sharing.
- Multi-factor authentication is required for accounts with administrative privileges.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect a credential compromise.
- Operating multiple accounts to evade per-customer rate limits, entitlements, or pricing is a material breach.
No redistribution
The Service and all Output (dossiers, reports, score breakdowns, calendar entries, alerts, comparables, methodology, and any other materials) are licensed for internal use by Customer's authorized users only.
You agree NOT to:
- Redistribute, resell, republish, sublicense, share, post, or forward Output outside Customer's authorized users. This includes posting to a public web page, attaching to an outbound deliverable, sending to clients or partners, or letting any third party view Output you have rendered.
- Use Output to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any machine-learning model or other automated system.
- Use Output to build a competing product, dataset, benchmark, or service.
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or programmatically extract data from the Service or any cached or archived copy. The public surfaces (Pulse, Explore Bids, the topical pages, marketing one-pagers) are intended for human reading; they are not an API and do not authorize bulk extraction.
Watermark integrity
Every paid Output is watermarked. The watermark identifies the user and the time of render and may include a steganographic per-section fingerprint that is not visible to the eye. You agree NOT to:
- Remove, alter, obscure, edit out, or interfere with any watermark, attribution, copyright notice, or proprietary marking.
- Take steps to defeat the steganographic fingerprint, including running the Output through any laundering or cleaning process.
- Render the Output in any environment designed to strip or hide the watermark before forwarding.
Watermarks exist as anti-circumvention measures within the meaning of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Tampering is a federal violation in addition to a material breach of these terms.
Anti-circumvention
You agree NOT to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, except to the limited extent applicable law expressly disallows the restriction.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service, except through a coordinated disclosure program announced by Water Hawk.
- Bypass authentication, authorization, geographic, rate-limit, or bot-detection rules.
- Bypass any robots.txt or similar content-control rule.
Data integrity
Where you submit data to the Service (logged bids, watchlists, content), you represent and warrant that:
- You have all rights necessary to submit it.
- It does not violate any non-disclosure or confidentiality obligation you owe to a third party.
- It is reasonably accurate at the time of submission, and you will correct it if you become aware it is not.
- You will not fabricate, pad, manipulate, duplicate, or coordinate submissions with another customer to game any aggregate or to influence Output toward a particular outcome.
- You will not seek, infer, or derive identifiable information about any other customer or contributor from the aggregated Output.
Communications
You agree NOT to use the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications to any natural person who has not consented; to harass, defame, or threaten anyone; or to misrepresent the source or sponsorship of any communication.
Lawful use
You agree NOT to use the Service for any unlawful purpose; in violation of any export-control, sanctions, anti-corruption, or competition law; to upload malware or hostile payloads; or to interfere with the Service.
Enforcement and reporting
We monitor compliance through technical and operational measures, including watermark verification, multi-account correlation, anomaly detection, and audit logging. By using the Service you authorize these measures.
A confirmed material breach triggers suspension or termination, retention of fees paid (all sales final), the early-termination fee where applicable, and indemnity obligations under the Terms of Service.
